Use Nerves to Your Advantage

Nerves get a bad reputation. Most people try to eliminate them before stepping on stage. However, as a speaker, don’t fight nerves – use nerves to your advantage. When you learn how to channel that energy, you turn anxiety into one of your biggest performance advantages.

First, reframe what you’re feeling. That racing heart, those sweaty palms, the surge of adrenaline – those are not signs that something is wrong.
